Citrus Squeeze

The Citrus Squeeze has be canceled this year due to the bad freezes.

The Citrus Squeeze is back again this year.  Not only do team get to compete, but the crowd gets to vote for their favorite to help in the final judging to see who it the top juicer.

The game is simple:  Which team can produce the most juice from the oranges with the most creative process that does not require a motor.  Teams are judged on creative juicing process, costume, and crowd favorite to determine the overall amount of juice produced.

Each team consists of 5 members: 1 runner and 4 juicers.  The runner has to run oranges from the central bin to their team.  They can only take what their hands or arms can carry (buckets and clothing being used as buckets are not allowed).  The teams have to stay in their designated area while juicing.

The teams are given 10 minutes to get the most juice that they can.  At the end of 10 minutes, the juice is strained to remove seeds and pulp to get a fair judging on just the juice.  The juice is poured into a central collection bucket and measured.  After each team has been measured, the three randomly selected guest judges will announce their decision on best costume and juicing process.  The crowd picks their favorite team.  Each of these categories will determine how many extra inches will be added to juice.  1st place in a category gets 3″, 2nd gets 2″ and 3rd gets 1″.

In the end, only one team can win the coveted Citrus Squeeze trophy.

This event is open to anyone that wants to participate.  To enter in your team, please use the form below.
